I am covering this event since 1973 and for me the Saslong has always been a special. Not only am I feeling very comfortble in this valley but there is also a cultural affinity. People here are watching our transmissions and are faithful ORF viewers. Then there is a special feeling of sympathy in the valley and in the whole of South Tyrol, combined with a fascinating mountain scenerey. - 2004
