I won this race in 1982. But this is not the only reason why this is my preferred slope. I remember how the Camel Humps were ion those times when the Ciaslat meadows used to be an icy sequence of waves. It was unbelievable. Also I became quite known all over due to winning and finishing second. I always felt very comfortable in Gröden, both due to course but also due to the people living here who, like myself, are speaking the rhaeto-romansch language. - 2004
