This piste is more interesting with a thin snow layer rather than when covered in lots of snow.� FIS president Kasper explains.

“Even though the snow conditions here in Val Gardena are good and the World Cup races until the end of the year are safe, the snow situation is not yet as it should be. A few places in the Alps have got artificial snow, but altogether there is not enough snow. We would need at least a metre of fresh snow. The ski and tourism industries and tourism need the snow for the pre-Christmas and Christmas economy.� Kasper further declares.
