Ski Challenge: The Gardena-Gröden Downhill can once again be raced on the Intern
In 2007, an incredible three million participants raced the Saslong on the Internet. The online game is very popular in Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Scandinavia. In the past, Gardena-Gröden was a less exciting race on Ski Challenge, but that has changed fundamentally this year.
Ski Challenge allows online players and ski enthusiasts to download the downhill race. There are two new courses this season. For the first time ever, the Kandahar course of Garmisch Partenkirchen can be skied and, as a crowning finale, the virtual racers will be able to test their skills on the World Championship course of Val d’Isère.
In years past, the Saslong course in Gardena-Gröden was known as an „autobahn“. But this year, things have taken on a whole new level of difficulty. There have been a few changes and Greentube, the company behind the creation of the virtual editions of the races, have dug in their heals to turn Gardena-Gröden into a very challenging race. For starters, the race will begin at its original spot, lengthening the course by approximately 10 seconds. The approach to Ciaslat has also been made more corrugated and will demand every ounce of talent from the Ski Challenge players.
