First training: Eric Guay fastest

Canadian Erik Guay (1:57.90 min) clocked the fastest time at the training on the Saslong. Michi Walchhofer (AUT; +0.45 sec) and Thomas Lanning (USA; 0.80 sec) placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively behind the North American.
The favorites gave a good performance during the first training on the World Cup course in Gardena-Gröden. Coming after the top three were Hermann Maier (AUT), Pierre-Emanuel Dalcin (FRA), Bode Miller (USA) and Klaus Kröll. Werner Heel gave the best performance among the local favorites and placed 17th.
