Friday starting at 5:45 pm: award ceremony and bib draw in Ortisei-St.Ulrich
The traditional highlight of the World Cup week’s entertainment program “Passion & Performance” is starting at 5:45 pm tomorrow, Friday December 19th. The award ceremony of the day’s Super-G winners will be at 6:05 pm following a Christmas Concert by the “Cor Sasslong Brass Ensemble & Friends”. At 6:15 pm Jean Daniel Dätwyler who won the first World Cup race on the Saslong 39 years ago will be honored by Erich Demetz, the legendary World Cup pioneer from Gardena-Gröden. All world class skiers from Gardena-Gröden will be there to keep them company. The bib draw for the Downhill is scheduled for 6:35 pm. The evening’s program is rounded out by spectacular videos of the 2007 Downhill race. The crowd-pleasing event is financially supported by the Foundation of the Südtrioler Sparkasse. A few thousand people are expected to attend.
