Stefania Demetz, General Manager of the local Organizing Committee is pleased by both the high quality of the event (despite recent heavy snow falls and strong gusts of wind at the start) but also by the satisfaction by fans, guests and ski passionates alike. But she can’t refrain from making it clear that “we bring passion and competence to this event, however, this would not be possible without the necessary resources”.

She has become a landmark of the World Cup week in Gardena-Gröden: “I am pleased: these have been two extraordinary days where we succeeded to overcome challenges related to the heavy snowfall and strong winds at the start. The quality of the races did not suffer and the satisfaction expressed by the fans fills us with pride. There were 600 members of various Fan Clubs and some of them already promised to double their efforts for next year’s visit to Gardena-Gröden.

The magic formula also works because: “the quality of an event is directly linked to the passion and commitment by the several committees represented by hundreds of volunteers but also by the availability of resources.” Her message is clear - motivation and know-how do not make a race. “It is difficult to understand those who mortify the organizers of the World Cup. This is a celebration of the world of sport and we have to do all that is in our power to ensure we can continue capitalize on it for years to come.” And she finishes with a promise: “We are ready to face our future with the right momentum."
