The total prize money amounts to 136.000 Euro. The winners of both the Super-G and the Downhill race will receive 19.500 Euro each. The third placed in the Super-G will receive 8.500 Euro, ie one thousand less than the third placed in the Men’s Downhill.
The last two years Michael Walchhofer snapped up most of the prize money. Having won the Men’s Downhill both in 2007 and again in 2008 he left Val Gardena with 40.000 Euro in total. The last two years the winners received 20.000 Euro each, from a total prize money of 145.000 Euro.
