insurance, on-site communication (radio), VIP-Hospitality, accommodation and media evaluation.
Joining this meeting was FIS marketing manager Marcel Looze to explain marketing strategies for the Alpine Ski World Cup and, further, IFM experts, giving an overview about media evaluation and new media.
“Our work, together with the FIS and other experts mean that as association of the 15 leading organizers of Alpine Ski World Cup races we are trying to improve constantly our product in the world of wintersports”, stated Club5-president Srecko Medven.
Also insurance issues for World Cup organizers were discussed in depth, and it was found that organizers insured different aspects of their events and had some different laws, according of insurance in their country or region.
The discussion about media evaluation included case studies of local organizers and forecast about the use and strategies of the new media.
On the program was a visit to the WC race courses on the Piz Nair slopes in St. Moritz, where in 2017 the World Ski Championships will carried out.
The workshop took place for the eighth time after previous meetings in Kitzbühel, Kranjska Gora, Venice, Wengen, Kitzbühel, Annecy – Talloires, Adelboden and now St.Moritz.
The members of Club5 World Cup Organizers are: Kitzbühel, Wengen, Garmisch, Val d’Isère, Val Gardena Gröden, Alta Badia, Cortina, Kranjska Gora, Maribor, Lake Louise, Schladming, Adelboden Kvitfjell, St.Moritz and Are. The goal of Club5 is to bring the quality of the alpine ski sport to the highest levels possible.
