Ghedina is optimistic
Saslong’s “record-man”, Kristian Ghedina has two dreams: a 5th victory in Val Gardena and a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics in Turin.
Kristian Ghedina’s sponsor held a press conference for him in St. Christina today where he gladly answered questions from a number of journalists. “A victory here in Val Gardena would make a nice Christmas present for my sponsor”, said Ghedina who would dedicate an eventual victory to his sponsor “Rancilio”, coffee machine manufacturers who are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year. The Cortinese skier has no intention of retiring and along with Franz Klammer (AUT), holds the record for four victories on Saslong, “ My biggest dream is to become the oldest Olympic champion for downhill skiing”. The Olympic games are scheduled to be held, in two years time in Turin.
