“The Saslong is a great track. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really match my strengths. I like to carve on the steep sections, but the Saslong is more for gliders and for athletes who like jumps and waves. Nevertheless, it’s...

nice to race in Val Gardena/Gröden, because it’s my home event. My family and sponsors are here along with my fan club, which is one of the largest in the skiing circuit. I especially like the fact that we can walk everywhere as our hotel is along the course. In addition, we have direct contact with the audience.

I hope that the course is icy and hard. That’s when I can score a good placing in the Super-G. But I will also give my everything in the Downhill.

Christof Innerhofer, born on December 17, 1984 made his debut in the World Cup in 2006. In 2008, the South Tyrolean won his first Downhill, followed by five additional wins, twelve podiums, three World Champion and two Olympic medals.
