FIS confirms Races in Val Gardena/Gröden
Luckily, this is a pure formality this year: In today's snow control, the FIS has confirmed the World Cup races on the Saslong. Friday, December 15th, is the Super-G followed by the Downhill the day after.
"The conditions are very good" explains Rainer Senoner, President of the Organizing Committee and also Race Director. “In recent weeks enough snow could be produced due to the low temperatures. The situation is reassuring unlike in recent years."
Val Gardena/Gröden is also celebrating its 50th anniversary as host of ski World Cup races. A rich entertainment program includes a big TV show planned  for Friday at 5:15 pm in the Finish area. Admission is free.
