Walchhofer „unbelievable“

Austrian, Michael Walchhofer still can’t believe he won, especially since he competed in pain caused by ligament injuries.
During the first day’s training he suffered a minor injury to the ligaments of his left knee causing him to miss yesterday’s training.”I needed to rest so I basically spent the whole day in my hotel room”, said the 29 year old Walchhofer. “I didn’t feel any real pain during the race although this morning it was actually harder for me to walk than to ski. I was so keyed up and full of energy that all those nerve-wracking mounds were a piece of cake” admits Walchhofer after winning his first title in Val Gardena.
