Unexpected ending

Max Rauffer (GER) astounded everyone by winning the DH in today’s World Cup race. Rauffer was ahead of Jörg Grünenfelder (SUI) by 5/100 and Johann Grugger (AUT) by 13/100.
The wind played the leading role in today’s DH by forcing changes to be made thus possibly altering the preconceived outcome. Antoine Deneriaz placed ninth with +1,00 sec., Kristian Ghedina twelfth place with +1,19 sec followed by Bode Miller who is fourteenth with +1,26 sec. Unfortunate day for the Austrians as well. Michael Walchhofer, is twentieth with +1,48 and Hermann Maier, is somewhere in the thirties.
