Grugger: “I’m happy”
Johann Grugger came through for Austria’s “Wunderteam”in today’s DH. Grugger earned third place with 13 hundredths behind winner Rauffer.
“The wind helped me near the top but further down I skied well enough to merit my position”,
Grugger is one of the few athletes who were able to recuperate time in the final stretch. “This is the sixth time I skied on this slope but never before was I able to handle Ciaslat like I did today and that’s what really motivated me”, added Grugger. When asked if the Saslong is his favourite race course, he replied, “well if the results are always this good then you can bet on it!”.
