Happy Ending
It’s been a perfect World Cup week. A large amount of spectators, two successful races and some local fauna getting a piece of the action.
OC president Stefania Demetz si especially pleased with the outcome of the event. “I’m so pleased with the outcome and want to thank everyone that made a contribution to the event’s success”. Although weather conditions were less than ideal, this is one World Cup race that will be talked about for awhile and possible go down in World Cup history. During his run, Kristian Ghedina spotted a small deer dashing across the race course, which not only got his attention but the rest of the world’s too! The defenceless animal was captured and removed from the site and after a brief pause, the race was underway once again. The incident was one of the many highlights of the 2004 Saslong Classic Club.
