Vilamoura (Portugal) – The sports official Edmund Dellago from Val Gardena was confirmed as Club 5 vice president at the 45th FIS Congress at Vilamoura, Portugal.
Club 5 is the union of the leading Ski World Cup organizers. In 1988 Dellago was among the founders of the union, and for 12 years he was its director. In addition to the founding members Val Gardena, Kitzbühel, Wengen, Val d’Isčre and Garmisch now eight more World Cup organizers are member of Club 5, that is Alta Badia and Cortina (Italy) , Maribor, Kraniska Gora (Slovenia), Lake Louise (Canada), Adelboden (Switzerland), Schladming (Austria) and Kvitfjell (Norway). The goal of Club 5 is to optimize the complex tasks about World Cup races and their organization all over the world. The president of Club 5 is Viktor Gertsch from Switzerland.
