Cuche in the lead after the first practice run

After the first practice run on the Saslong Didier Cuche is in pole position followed by Patrik Jaerbyn and Hans Grugger.

Perfect conditions accompanied the first practice run on the Saslong. Didier Cuche from Switzerland took pole position with a time of 1:59.10 minutes.  He was closely followed by Patrik Jaerbyn from Sweden (1:59.38), the Austrian Hans Grugger (1:59.47), the Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal (1:59.66) and Antoine Deneriaz from France (1:59.66). The difference between the first five skiers is only 66 hundredths of a second. This bodes well for a close and exciting race.

The Italian Patrick Staudacher finished in 10th place, Peter Fill 15th and Kurt Sulzenbacher 21st.
