„No motorway, but not too dangerous“
Nobody knows the Saslong better than Erich Demetz. The longstanding president of the Organizing Committee considers this year’s piste “no motorway, but also not too dangerous”.
Erich Demetz is enthusiastic about the condition of the Saslong. “The Saslong is as it should be. On the one hand the piste is no “motorway”, but on the other hand it is also not too dangerous.” According to Demetz, current president of the FIS World Cup Association, the Saslong is at the moment “one of the most complete pistes in the World Cup, where both good gliding as well as technical ability in the curves and jumps is demanded, if you want to be among the best.”
