Also present at the meeting in Zurich was Marcello Varallo, President of the Alta Badia Alpine Ski World Cup Committee, who was very satisfied with the organisation of a new competition on the Gran Risa.  “The F.I.S. trusted us and assigned us this new task. During the last few years we’ve done a lot of work to improve the course and to solve all the problems relating to the organisation of a slalom. This year we can celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Cup in the valley and recognition by the International Federation makes all the efforts made to date worthwhile.  There is also another bit of news this year. On Tuesday December 13th 2005 Alta Badia will welcome a new European Cup trial to the Gran Risa which will act as a general trial for the World Cup special next year.” - commented Marcello Varallo.
