First meeting of team captains
A lot of familiar faces were present at the first meeting of team captains in Selva/Val Gardena.
Stefania Demetz, president of the Organizing Committee, officially welcomed the teams and athletes to Val Gardena and indicated the importance of this week of racing:
“We are celebrating the 40th birthday of the World Cup and have organized a varied programme. We hope that even the athletes and their coaches will find time to party.”
FIS race director Günther Hujara praised the excellent conditions of the piste and promised an interesting week of racing on the Saslong.
