Freedom of Selva Gardena given to Erich Demetz

In the meeting of September 30, 2005 the district council of Selva Gardena...
...has decreed to give Erich Demetz the greatest award of the municipality, the Freedom of Selva Gardena, for the credits he has in the fields of tourism and economy.
In his life Erich Demetz has always devoted a lot of his work to the public welfare. His work has had positive effects on the development of tourism and economy in Val Gardena. Especially by fostering the ski sport and by organizing great sport events he has contributed in a decisive way to making Val Gardena one of the most important ski resorts in the world.
