Guay: „I would run this course again“

Eric Guay has a special bond with the Saslong course, despite his fall two years ago: following a rupture of the cruciate ligament he places on the podium.
“This course is such that I’d love to race it all over again”, says 2nd placed Eric Guay (+0.31 seconds) enthusiastically. It was two years ago on this course, when he ended up rupturing his cruciate ligaments in a fall just past the Sochers-wall. But he recovered superbly placing yet again among the top three after the Super G in Beaver Creek. “Of course I’m reminded of my fall when I pass the spot on the course. But I’ve overcome my fears.”
