Hoffmann: „I was convinced of my lead “
Swiss skier Ambrosi Hoffman was disappointed that he had placed 2nd when reaching the arrival. He never expected to remain on the podium.
“I was convinced that I reached the arrival with a new winning time and was initially disappointed to see that I placed 2nd” admits Hoffman, who was 0.32 seconds behind the winner. “I’m pleased with my 3rd place. Everything went smoothly until I reached the very last part of the course. That is where I lost the 2nd place.” His comments on the course: “The course is not difficult, but it’s hard to maintain speed.”
