The World Cup races in Gardena-Gröden on December 14 and 15, 2007 can be held as planned. This confirmation came from FIS official and South Tyrol-native Mr. Sepp Messner.
Mr. Messner joined Race Director Mr. Rainer Senoner and Course Director Mr. Horst Demetz in performing the snow check on the Saslong course. This analysis encompasses both the consistency of the snow profile as well as the safety procedures. Mr. Messner concluded that the snow is in optimal conditions. There are about 50 – 60 cm of artificial snow on the course and all fall areas are in order. Setting the Super-G course, particularly in the wider Finish Schuss area will be a delight. An additional snow check is scheduled 10 days ahead of the skier's arrival. Starting on December 9, the slope will be exclusively used by the OC to create and finalize the racing profile. The Super-G is scheduled for Friday, December 14 and the classic Downhill for Saturday, December 15.
