Once again TJ Lanning delivers a surprise performance at today’s training on the Saslong. He placed 5th behind the most experienced skiers. Only six athletes skied under the two minute mark. Scott Macartney (USA) is sixth with 1:59.95, also just under two minutes. The Americans gave an impressive performance overall with Sullivan (3rd), Lanning (5th), Macartney (6th) and Bode Miller (8th) all placing among the top eight. Also the Austrian team did well: Walchhofer (4th), Kröll (9th), Maier (10th) and Streitberger (11th) all placed in the leading group. On the other hand, the Italian performance was less convincing with Peter Fill skiing fastest among them and crossing the Finish with 2.29 seconds delay.
