The weather and avalanche station of Arabba ("Arpa Veneto") is predicting gusts of between 80/90 km/h at the start of the Super-G and Downhill in Gardena-Gröden.

Gianni Marigo, expert meteorologist for Arpa Veneto believes that the wind could potentially be an issue of no small order for the races. “Strong northerly winds that will achieve gusts of 100/120 km/h at 3,000 altitude and 89/90 km/h at the start area of the races. The wind will be stonger primarily on Saturday. Temperatures are expected to fall further tomorrow and then rise again on Saturday.

The weather station in Arabba has been a trustworthy partner and its forecasts were almost always accurate according to Race Director Rainer Senoner.
