New fan marquee in the finish area
At the moment it is freezing cold in Gardena, but the Ski Worldcup fans will have a warm place to go to when they arrive here on Friday and Saturday.: For the first time ever there is a huge fan marquee in the finish area where the fans can warm themselves up before the race and celebrate the winners after the race.
The party will kick off on Friday morning at 10 am with a traditional “Fruehschoppen”, which consists of “Weisswurst” and beer. The “Fruehschoppen” is provided by the tourist association Gardena and the Saslong Classic Club. The Gardena Worldcup organizers decided to provide a huge marquee for the public this year, as in the last years the number of spectators has consistently increased and the restaurants and bars in Santa Christina were no longer capable of providing for all of them. Thanks to the construction of the new bypass, the car-free zone and the car park have been increased, so space has become available for the marquee in the finish area.
The well-known music band “Solide Alm” and the clever DJs of Radio Station Südtirol1 will be entertaining the tent which is located between the Ticket Point and the Arrival at Saslong. The venerable Hockey Club Gardena-Gröden (four-times Italian champion, founded in 1927) is in charge of managing the tent. Music and entertainment is well taken care of.

3:00 pm: Fan club party with Südtirol1
8:00 pm: Hockey party with many entertaining games
Saturday, December 19th, 2009:
10:00 am: Frühschoppen with Fans (10:45/11:00 am fan parade through town)
3:00 pm: Après-race party with Südtirol1
8:00 pm: Solide Alm concert
There is a giant TV screen inside the tent where different videos will be shown (e.g., fans, race, hockey, etc.)
