Stechert injures his cruciate ligaments
Tobias Stechert probably injured his cruciate ligaments on the Saslong today, Wednesday. This was announced during the Team Captains’ Meeting in Wolkenstein / Selva by one of the German team representatives. Stechert didn’t actually fall during the practice run, but after a jump at the exit of the Ciaslat meadows he landed badly and felt his knee go.
Although he didn’t fall he had to stop. The team doctor diagnosed with near certainty torn ligaments. In fact Stechert didn’t even go for further check-ups to Bozen/Bolzano or Brixen/Bressanone, but left straightaway for Munich.
