The fan clubs of Michael Walchhofer, Benny Raich, Silvan Zurbriggen, Ambrosi Hoffmann, Patrick Staudacher, Peter and Andreas Strodl, Andrej Jerman, Romed Baumann and of course the fans of Christof Innerhofer who won the prize last year are expected in the stands.
And of course one mustn’t forget the South Tyrolean fan club for Switzerland as well as the other Swiss supporters who as always will be exhibiting their traditional huge cow bells.
Saturday morning the fan clubs will leave the marquee at 11am and parade through the streets of Santa Cristina finishing off in the finish area. After the prize-giving for the Downhill race the best fan club of 2009 will be awarded.
The first prize is a summer excursion in Gardena/Groeden. All members of the fan club can participate. The excursion includes the journey, the lift to the top of the mountain and a pleasant surprise in a mountain hut.
The jury consists of the director of  Val Gardena Marketing and of the three directors of the Gardena/Groeden tourist offices. They will evaluate the fan clubs according to their parade, the number of fans present and in particular the way they cheer for their hero.
The fan clubs who inscribed will also receive the “fan kit” which consists of a bag containing various gadgets, food and drink.
