The Norwegian Espen Lysdahl wins the Marzola Prize

The 19-year-old Espen Lysdahl has won this  year’s Gianni-Marzola-Prize 2009 for the yourngest participant at the Men’s Downhill on the Saslong. His compatriot Aksel Lund Svindal also won this prize once.

The Marzola Prize comprises 1500 Euro and since 2002 it has been presented to the youngest particpant at the Gardena/Groeden Downhill Race. The name reminds of Gianni Marzola who famously promoted the ski sport in Gardena/Groeden.
