Infront analyzed the broadcasting times, audiences as well as market penetration of all programs related to the World Cup in Gardena/Gröden. The study states that the Super-G and the Downhill were broadcast for 63 hours and followed by a total of 112 million people on TV. Eurosport alone broadcast in 20 different languages across 59 countries. Market penetration of the World Cup races in Gardena/Gröden (stated in percentages) is particularly interesting in this analysis. The live broadcast of the Downhill was followed on ZDF by 25% of German’s audience members. The highest market share was reached in Croatia just short of 42% followed by Austria with 32%, Slovenia, Switzerland and Sweden with 24% to 25% and Russia with 23%.
