The renown Fan Club predominantly supports the members of the Italian national team and won on the basis of spectacular performances, self-made costumes and an overall warm, welcoming and fair reception of all athletes at the Finish during the races.

As in years past, the first prize consisted of a memorable hiking day in the mountains of Gardena/Gröden. Approximately 60 fan club members from the Friaul region in Italy participated. The day’s events started with an aperitif at the Hotel Genziana in Ortisei/St.Ulrich. The guests were made welcome by Günter Comploj, responsible CO member for entertainment along with Genni Tschurtschenthaler who is responsible specifically for the Fan Clubs. Next, the group traveled to picturesque Monte Pana above St.Christina where they had lunch at the Hotel Cendevaves before embarking on a chair lift ride up to Mont de Sëura. Here the OC could offer the winning Fan Club a unique view of the fascinating Dolomiti mountain range. The group then continued on a invigorating walk that concluded with some freshly-baked strudel. The Fan Club outing was once again made possible thanks to the support of Gardena/Gröden Marketing.
