second Super-G gold on the Saslong 2010 since winning in 2004 and pushed his medal count to four golds (2x Downhill and 2x Super-G). 2009, Aksel Lund Svindal from Norway won his first gold on the Saslong. In 2008, local favorite Werner Heel conquered strong winds to take home the first South Tyrolean gold on the Saslong since Herbert Plank won the Downhill in 1977.

Didier Cuche won in 2007 while Bode Miller took home the gold in 2006. Hans Grugger and Michael Walchhofer won the gold for Austria in 2004 and 2005. Lasse Kjus from Norway was fastest in 2003 and Didier Defago from Switzerland in 2002. The first Super-G gold ever on the Saslong went to Pirmin Zurbriggen (CH) in 1983.
