Double Victories in Gardena-Gröden
Zurbriggen, Kjus, Walchhofer
Three athletes have captured gold in both the Super-G as well as the Downhill on the Saslong. They are Pirmin Zurbriggen (CH), Lasse Kjus (NOR) and Michael Walchhofer (AUT).
The World Cup winner, World and Olympic champion from Switzerland, Zurbriggen, won the Super-G in 1983 and the Downhill in 1989. Kjus, the Norwegian World Cup winner, World and Olympic Champion won the Downhill in 1998 and the Super-G in 2003. Michael Walchhofer won the Downhill in 2007 and 2008 and in 2004 and 2010 the Super-G.
