The “World Cup Adventures” Entertainment Program
Gardena/Gröden is offering a great entertainment program in addition to the Ski World Cup races on December 14th and 15th. It is called “World Cup Adventures”. Several parties and other events some featuring the Alpine athletes are on the docket for several.
restaurants and bars across this ski sport enthusiastic valley from Wednesday, December 12th through Saturday, December 15th.
Parties and Much More
Wednesday is kicking off with the “Ski Man Party” at Goalie’s Pub in Selva/Wolkenstein. This pub has been the meeting place for ski service men from different teams over the last few years. You might even be able to learn from one or the other how they are preparing their athlete’s ski for the upcoming training runs and races.
Experiencing the Athletes Up-close
The prize ceremony for the Super-G and official bib draw for the Downhill will take place on the St. Antonius Square in Ortisei/St.Ulrich on Friday at 6 pm. You will have the chance to meet your favorite athletes up-close and personal whether while they walk down the stage or face-to-face when getting an autograph or picture taken. In years past, the athletes threw their baseball caps to the audience, so you might catch one of these personal souvenirs. The Italian speed team will be available for autographs at the end of the event. You will be able to meet Beaver Creek’s Bird of Prey winner Christof Innerhofer and Matteo Marsaglia, Dominik Paris, Peter Fill & others. Immediately afterward, nearby Soviso Café run by former Olympic racer Lotte Nogler will provide entertainment into the night featuring popular musician “Chris”.
The Party Continues...
A ski fest is taking place in the Saslong Stadium following the Downhill race on Saturday.
The “Finish Area Party” at Après Ski “Snow Bar” and in the Pedes Lounge Bar are offering live DJ music. The music band “Pamstitten Kings” will be playing in the World Cup Village in the downtown area of St.Christina. Make your way to the “Heustadl Party 2012” at the Hotel Wolkenstein on Saturday night if you are keen on meeting the Austrian ski aces. And for those who want to return to “Chris” in concert, head to Bar La Stua’s “World Cup Party” in Selva/Wolkenstein.
