It’s a Go-Ahead for the World Cup in Gardena/Gröden
The International Ski Federation FIS has given the go-ahead for both World Cup ski races in Gardena/Gröden, scheduled for December 20th and 21st.
After his return from Beaver Creek (USA), FIS Race Director Helmut Schmalzl has conducted the so-called snow check. He visited the Saslong course top to bottom together with Course Director Horst Demetz, Race Director Rainer Senoner and Section Head Moritz Demetz to test the progress of the preparatory works.
“The races are confirmed” said Mr. Schmalzl after the inspection. “There is enough snow on the course; the OC team and lift company have done a great job.”
The OC team under the leadership of Course Director Horst Demetz will begin to work on the final racing profile at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
The World Cup Super-G is taking place on December 20th, the Downhill on Saturday, December 21st. Training runs are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Starting time is always 12:15 pm.
