Checking the newspapers to see who had the fastest time in the first training run on the Saslong in Gardena/Gröden? That is way outdated. Only one hour to go until the Gardena/Gröden Ski World Cup week officially kicks off with the first Team Captains’ Meeting. At 8pm the FIS race directors and the organizers will inform the coaches about the conditions of the race course, practice times and weather forecasts. Tomorrow, Wednesday, will see the first training run where the athletes can test all the tricky parts of the race track, such as the camel humps and the renowned “Ciaslat” meadows under racing conditions. You can follow the training runs as well as read up about any important news on the official website www.saslong.org. As of now the editorial staff will keep you up-to-date more or less around the clock.
