Super-G: The Start List
Top contender Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR) will tackle the Saslong in the Super-G on Friday with start number 19. The first European speed race of the World Cup season will be opened by Carlo Janka (SUI) at 12.15, Bode Miller (USA) will be the second at the start. The first of the Italian team is Peter Fill with start number 8.
Svindal won the Super G here last year and after his convincing performances in the training runs (first and second) he is also a top contender for the Super-G victory this year. More to the point, Svindal won one of the two Super-G races this year, Patrick Kueng from Switzerland took the other (start number 10).
The racers of the Italian National Team are not to be underestimated either. Peter Fill (start number 8) achieved three third places in Beaver Creek and confirmed his good form in the Downhill Training today. Christof Innerhofer (start number 13) and Werner Heel (16) could also place well tomorrow.
