Marzola Prize goes to Denmark
Denmark is not known for its skiing prowess, but it is still taking home a prize from the 2013 World Cup race in Val Gardena/Gröden: the Marzola Prize is going to the youngest participant, 20-year-old Christoffer Faarup.
The Gianni Marzola prize has been awarded since 2002. This prize honors one of the most important ski sport supporters of the valley. The prize is always awarded to the youngest skier who finishes the Donwhill race on the Saslong. This year, the Euro 1500 prize goes to Christoffer Faarup from Denmark.
This is an early Christmas and birthday present for Faarup. He will celebrate this 21st birthday on December 28th. He is the twelfth recipient of the Marzola Prize, which was also bestowed upon Aksel Lund Svindal a few years ago.
