47th Saslong Classic: Initial Preparations Concluded
Initial preparations for the races in December on the Saslong have concluded after two intense weeks. Maintenance work and control checks along the course have taken place under the leadership of Horst Demetz. A-safety nets were checked for...
potential damages due to the significant snow falls during the past winter. The spectator fences from the Camel Humps to the VIP area at the Jägerhaus Hut were also overhauled. “Over the past few days, we positioned the snow canons working closely with the lift company “Saslong AG”. This is to ensure that we are ready to manufacture snow at the first cold snap” says Race Director Rainer Senoner.
The second phase of preparations will begin at the end of November, when we will be laying the cables for timing and TV as well as set up further safety nets. “We are pleased with the progress of the work” says Mr. Senoner. “Everything is going according to plan.”
