Praise for the Organizers after the First Training Run

The second Team Captains’ Meeting on Wednesday night confirmed the great job organizers have done in preparing the slope. The FIS representatives praised the course team under the leadership of Horst Demetz and Moritz Demetz for its amazing job given the current conditions.

The first training run confirmed that an impressive course could be prepared with only man-made snow. Which means that the scheduled program is on (Downhill training on Thursday, Super-G race on Friday and Downhill race on Saturday).

The second Training will start tomorrow at 12:15 pm and two local favorites Christoph Innerhofer and Werner Heel will be first at the gates ahead of Andrew Weibrecht (USA, bib 3), Marco Sullivan (USA, bib 4) and Manuel Osborne-Paradis (CAN, bib 5). Steven Nyman starting with bib 12 and Aksel Lund Svindal with 20 will most likely attract the highest level of attention ahead of yet another top favorite Peter Fill who is starting with bib 23.
