Dominik Stehle wins 2nd FIS Night Slalom in Val Gardena/Gröden
The winner of the second FIS Raiffeisen Challenge night slalom in Val Gardena/Gröden is Dominik Stehle. The 29-year-old German won the race on the Sochers course on Ciampinoi with a total time of 1:43.09 minutes. Italian Andrea Ballerin from Italy came in second with a delay of 41/100 seconds. Third was the South Tyrolean Simon Maurberger (+0.93).
Course setters were Robert Foot from Germany (1st run) and South Tyrolean coach Heini Pfitscher (2nd run). Around 130 athletes from 15 nations took part in the FIS Raiffeisen Challenge in Val Gardena/Gröden. After the two speed races last December on Plan de Gralba, the two technical competitions at Sochers/Ciampinoi were also a total success. As Race Director Rainer Senoner said, the two slaloms were carried out in very difficult conditions due to the warm temperatures. Therefore, a special thanks go to the many volunteers and the lift company Saslong.
