Races in Val Gardena/Gröden followed by TV audience of 195 million

195 million TV spectators have followed the Downhill and Super-G races in Val Gardena/Gröden in December 2015. That is approx. 25 million more than the previous year and even 58 million more than two years ago.

This emerges from an analysis provided by Infrontsports, which sells the TV rights of most of the Ski World Cup organizers internationally.

The total broadcasting time amounted to 59.15 hrs split into 38.08 for the Downhill and 21.07 hrs for the Super-G.

The highest broadcasting period was reported in Italy (RAI) with 8 hrs.
58% of the TV audiences in Austria (ORF) and in Norway (NRK1) have followed the Downhill live; 27.2% in Germany. For the first time, the Downhill was broadcast in China by two tv channels (2.46 hrs).

Live, weekly, sport and news reports were counted.
Approximately 60 TV networks have reported either live or on a delayed basis directly from Val Gardena/Gröden.
The next races are taking place on December 16th and 17th.
