The winner of today's race and leader of the world cup rankings, Stephan Eberharter, was obvioulsy satisfied after the race. "It was a difficult race. I tried to keep a tight line, although I didn't make it without mistakes", he states. He won the race in the last section. "My condition made it", he explains.

Thank to Michael Walchhofer the Austrians won a second medal. He also was the surprise of today's race. "No need to say I am really happy, even though my race was not perfect. On the camel hunches I skied worse than yesterday, for the rest the run was ok."

The Norwegian allrounder Kjetil-Andre Aamodt finished third. "Today it was important do ski well at the bottom. On the last bends I felt already a bit tired, but the rest was ok." Thus Aamodt achieved his best result on the Saslong after three fifth places.

Kristian Ghedina was not disppointed despite of his "defeat" (fourth place): "I thought to have skied better than yesterday, although I had had difficulties on the Ciaslat. However I am quite satisfied with my run, it's still a top result."

Kurt Sulzenbacher did not finish today. In the upper part of the slope he got a blow and so he could no longer manage the bend. "I still thank my fans for supporting me like this ", he comments.
