The two World Cup Downhill events in Val Gardena/Gröden have been confirmed. This information has been given today by FIS Director Sepp Messner after a thorough inspection of the course. He said that in case of continuing warm weather the start will have to be shifted to the reserve starting point 120 m lower than the original start area.

The inspection of the course was done together with Saslong Classic Club president Erich Demetz, Technical Director Rainer Senoner, Course Director Horst Demetz, and Jury-Member Nando Rudiferia.

The two Downhills will take place Friday Dec. 14 and Sat. Dec. 15, 2001.
