Fast, steep and technically demanding

The Saslong is 3,446 meter long and with the start at 2250 meter and the arrival at 1410 meter, the racecourse exhibits a 850-meter difference in elevation.  The run is fast, steep and technically demanding. With an average downward gradient of 25 degrees, the Saslong is one of the few courses that demand a racing time that normally exceeds the two-minute mark.
