Saslong is in tip-top condition

Athletes and coaches agree: "the piste was beautifully prepared, it deserves a round of applause".
First impressions last forever and the one made to athletes, coaches and FIS delegates, couldn’t have been better. There was a lot of enthusiasm by everyone at this morning’s ascertainment. “ It’s been quite awhile since we’ve seen Saslong in these conditions”, says Erich Demetz, president of the Saslong Classic Club. “ This is mainly due to the ideal weather conditions we’ve had in the last few weeks. The sudden changes of temperature made it possible for us not to have to use water to freeze the foundations, and although it’s consistency is compact and hard, it’s not frozen”, explains Demetz.
