Alto Adige’s promising boy

Peter Fill is one of downhill skiing brightest stars.
Last year he didn’t even participate in the downhill in Val Gardena, but this year he’s going full speed ahead, starting with the first session of preliminary runs. “ I wanted to try and go as fast as I could in the trial runs so I could get a better feel for the high speeds on Saslong”, says Fill in a satisfied yet respectful tone towards one of the most important pistes of the World Cup. “Saslong is a lot more difficult than it looks because extremely risky and unpredictable”.
The 21 year old from Castelrotto was especially impressed with the second wall, “ Although the angle has been smoothed out by 20 cm., it’s still a really spectacular jump. Today I almost landed on the flat”.
